Our House PAC Backs Six Independents for Congress

Three Senate races, three House races, six states, and a joint appearance at the Independent National Convention this month
WASHINGTON — September 2, 2026
Our House PAC today announced its 2026 Independent Slate: six candidates running outside both major parties in three Senate races and three House races across six states.
The slate is the product of more than a year of work. Our House tracked every Independent running for federal office this cycle, followed campaigns as they developed, evaluated their organizations and watched viability rise and fall in real time, holding off on a slate until the field stopped shifting.
Our House is a federal political action committee formed to elect Independents to federal office and will introduce its slate at the Independent National Convention in Washington, D.C. from September 23 to 25. All six candidates have been invited to participate in the convention, and Dan Osborn was the first to confirm he will attend.
The Our House 2026 Independent Slate:
U.S. Senate
Dan Osborn (Nebraska). Navy veteran and former industrial mechanic who led the 77-day strike at the Kellogg's plant in Omaha in 2021. He put himself on the November ballot by petition, gathering thousands of signatures with no party organization behind him.
Seth Bodnar (Montana). West Point graduate, Rhodes Scholar and former Army Special Forces officer who headed the University of Montana until stepping down in January. He is running for Montana's first open Senate seat since 1976.
Todd Achilles (Idaho). Army veteran, former tank commander and technology executive who resigned his seat in the Idaho House to run. He is challenging Senator Jim Risch, a four-term incumbent who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
U.S. House
Rep. Kevin Kiley (California, 6th District). The only Independent currently serving in the U.S. House. He left the Republican Party in March and still finished first in California's June top-two primary.
Chris Getty (Illinois, 4th District). Mayor of Lyons since 2009 and the only Independent certified for the general election ballot in the district. The seat is open following the incumbent's retirement.
Bill Hill (Alaska, At-Large). Bristol Bay commercial fisherman and retired school superintendent, named Alaska Superintendent of the Year in 2023. He finished second in Alaska's top-four primary in August and advances to the ranked-choice general election.
This slate isn't about party. It's about the best Americans running for federal office outside the two-party system. They are up against Republican incumbents, Democratic nominees, and in some races, candidates from both legacy parties. The races range from Idaho and Alaska to a Chicago seat Democrats have held for decades. The candidates' backgrounds are just as varied: a mechanic who led his coworkers against a Fortune 500 company, a Green Beret who ran a state university, a tank commander turned technology executive, a sitting member of Congress, a mayor of seventeen years, and a commercial fisherman who ran a school district.
"There are a lot of Independents running this year and a lot of them are worth rooting for," said Ryan Rabah, Esq., co-founder and Executive Director of Our House PAC. "We picked these six because they can win, and because they're the kind of people this country needs in Washington."
The Independent National Convention is produced by United Independents.
"More serious candidates are running as Independents than ever before, and it's time to concentrate support behind the ones with a real chance of winning," said Christopher Life, CEO of United Independents. "That's how you build a fulcrum in Washington. What has never existed is the infrastructure to bring those candidates together and help them win. That's what we're building."
Our House will continue evaluating races through the fall. Candidates may be added or removed if circumstances change materially, though the PAC does not intend to expand the slate significantly.
"Lincoln said a house divided against itself cannot stand," Rabah said. "The legacy parties thrive by keeping us divided. What breaks that is a bloc of Independents in each chamber who can't be controlled by either side. We call it a fulcrum caucus. These six are where we start taking our house back."
